After China, the US is also preparing to ban China's social media apps. United Nations Secretary Mike Pumpio made it clear in one of his statements that the United States is definitely considering banning China's apps, including TicTalk. Pampio's statement seems to increase China's difficulties. In India, the Chinese app was banned in India last month. All Chinese companies are talking to the Indian government in this matter, but the government has not made any changes in its decision so far.
Ban on 59 apps in India
Government of India has banned a total of 59 apps. After the ban on Chinese apps, the demand for Indian apps has increased a lot. Apps like Spark and Dhatkak in place of TickTalk, Scan Karo app in place of CamScanner and Sharechat instead of ShareIt are becoming increasingly viral. Users are moving fast on Indian apps.
Competition increased after Tiktok ban
After the ban on TikTalk in India, there is a competition to make its place in the short video app segment. Many apps are being downloaded like TicketLock in India. Instagram has started testing the reel in India, after which it is believed that this service can be launched in India soon. Tittock was a separate platform for video making, while reel feature users would be found within Instagram itself. The company launched it last year. Till now this service is available in few countries, but after the ban of Tittock, the company is going to launch this service in India. However, it is not yet clear when the company will launch this service in India.
Indian apps became popular
The popularity of many Indian apps has increased significantly after the government banned TickTalk. In this segment, Indian apps like Friends, Spark are being downloaded a lot. Due to the ongoing tension between India and China over the border dispute, the government has banned 59 apps, including TicketLock, in India. After which new apps are constantly coming out to make their strong hold in this segment.
