England’s women’s cricket team will visit Pakistan for the limited overs series for the first time in October this year, while the men’s team will also be here for the limited overs series. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced this on Thursday. The England women’s team will play two T20 internationals on October 14 and 15, while the men’s team will also play the shorter format against the hosts on the same day.
The one-day internationals will take place on 18, 20 and 22 October at the National Stadium in Karachi. The men’s team will visit Pakistan for the first time since 2005. PCB Chief Executive Wasim Khan said in a statement, “The world champions England team will be touring for the first time in Karachi with their men’s team which is a very important announcement for Pakistan, our women cricketer and the global game.”
He said, ‘Women’s T20 Internationals will be played at the historic National Stadium before the men’s team matches. With three ODIs against the world champions, Pakistan will be able to assess their preparation for the ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 as they aim to do better than the past.
