Fox Entertainment’s Blockchain Branch Dedicates the NFT Market to Hit TV Series The Masked Singer

Fox Entertainment and Blockchain Creative Labs (BCL) have announced the launch of Maskverse.com, a non-fungible token marketplace and community dedicated to entertainment series and hit singing competition “The Masked Singer”. According to Fox and BCL, the NFT marketplace and games will be powered by the Eluvio blockchain.

In mid-May, American commercial broadcast television network Fox Broadcasting Company announced that it was launching a non-fungible token (NFT) business called Blockchain Creative Labs. In June, Fox detailed that it partnered with Bento Box Entertainment (BBE) to launch a $100 million fund aimed at empowering NFT content creators.

Now the broadcast and entertainment company is unveiling an NFT ecosystem dedicated to the popular singing competition show “The Masked Singer”. Fox and BCL launched Maskverse.com, which offers fans of “The Masked Singer” (TMS) their own collection of limited-edition digital masks for each character from all six seasons of the series to unlock “surprising and exclusive gifts” allows to create”.

TMS is a series that premiered on the Fox television network on January 2, 2019. The US version, hosted by Nick Cannon, is based on the original which debuted in South Korea. The series featured celebrities, professional athletes and celebrities wearing costumes and masks to hide their identities.

The show also stars Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke. During the first and second years of production, Adweek stated that the show was “the hottest reality/contest series” in the United States. When the third season of TMS came out, it was the most-watched episode of the series, and TMS ratings soared even after the start of the coronavirus pandemic.

‘Miss Masky’ and ‘Mask Packs’

According to statements sent to bitcoin.com news, the NFT drop on masquerades.com will begin at 5:30 PM (EST) on October 13 and will consist of several phases. In the first part fans will get free NFTs of “Miss Masky” to create a digital media wallet through Eluvio.

The announcement further explained that throughout the season, maskverse.com visitors will be able to receive “mask packs” that include character cards from TMS and “a way for fans to buy and sell cards to complete their sets.” will unlock the marketplace, as well as additional premium and unique digital merchandise.”
