IND vs ENG: Record partnership of Jason Roy and Johnny Bairstow, Root and Morgan left behind

Openers Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow became the most frequent century partnership for England in ODIs. Both shared a 110-run partnership for the first wicket in the second ODI against India at the Maharashtra Cricket Association ground.

This is the 13th century partnership of these two as a partner. Both have now overtaken Joe Root and Eoin Morgan. Morgan and Root have scored a century partnership in 75 matches 12 times, but Roy and Bairstow overtook them both in the 47th innings.

In third place in this order are Roy and Root, who have scored a century partnership seven times in 28 matches. Roy and Bairstow have always scored against India. In the last three matches, both 160 (133 balls) Edgbaston 2019, 135 (86 balls), Pune and 110 (99 balls) Pune have made three century partnerships.
