Former batsman Jonathan Trott has been appointed as England's batting coach for the three-match Test series against Pakistan starting on Wednesday. For England, 39-year-old Trott, who scored 3835 runs in 52 Tests between 2009-2015, is from New Zealand. Former spinner Jeetan Patel and Warwickshire fast bowler Graeme Welch will join the support staff.
The BBC gave this information. Trott, who played 68 ODIs and seven T20 internationals for England, scored 18,662 runs in first class cricket. The three-match Test series between England and Pakistan will be played at Manchester at Old Trafford from Wednesday, followed by the next two matches at the Agias Bowl in Southampton.
England recently won the three-match Test series by defeating the West Indies 2–1, following which international cricket was restored after the Corona virus epidemic.
