- The match between India and Pakistan will be played on October 24.
- Aamir said that India’s edge is heavy against Pakistan
- Mohammad Amir praised the batting of Pakistani team
- Amir said Rohit and Virat were struggling in IPL
Former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir has made his prediction for the India-Pakistan match to be held on Sunday.
The 29-year-old said that although it is difficult to predict the outcome in T20 cricket, he feels that the Indian team has a bit of an edge (Advantage India vs Pakistan). He said that the reason behind this is that the Indian team is coming to play the ICC event (ICC Test Championship Final) and after that it has participated in the IPL (IPL 2021) which was also organized at the same grounds in UAE.
Aamir said in a conversation with a TV channel, ‘To be honest, it is not easy to say anything in T20 cricket. As far as the match between India and Pakistan is concerned, you can say that India has not lost to Pakistan in the T20 World Cup. But you can’t say anything about T20 matches.
He further said, ‘But I will give India a slight edge because their players have played IPL here. So, they understand the situation better than Pakistan. In my view, the upper hand is tilted 60-40 towards India.
Although Pakistan has won more matches than India overall, they have not been able to open an account against India in the World Cup matches. India has defeated Pakistan 12 times in the World Cup. He has won seven times in 50 over World Cup and 5 times in T20 World Cup.
Amir feels that the team which can handle the pressure better in this match will win this match. Along with this, he said that now India-Pakistan matches are a little different than before. Earlier it was said that it is a contest between India’s batting and Pakistan’s bowling but Amir says that is not the case now.
He said, ‘India vs Pakistan matches are always full of pressure. Babar is captaining the Pakistani team. He is playing well. This is a plus point for Pakistan. His partner Rizwan is also doing well. To be honest, Pakistan’s batting is not doing bad.
Amir further said, ‘Earlier it was said that there is a competition between Pakistan’s bowling and India’s batting. But now I think Pakistan’s batting is a bit stronger because Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were struggling in the IPL. So they will be under a little pressure.
