Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif feels that legendary batsman and limited-overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma can score a double century in T20. Kaif participated in a live session on Halo app with young batsman and captain of the under-19 team Priyam Garg.
Meanwhile, when Priyam asked Kaif who can score a double century in T20, he said, 'Rohit can do this job. He can score a double century in T20. Once Rohit hits a century, his strike rate will be 250–300, so he can score 200 runs as well.
Advice to priyam
Kaif also advised Priyam that playing in the T20 League IPL should not be his goal. Kaif said, 'Playing in the IPL should not be your objective and end goal. IPL should not be the first priority. The youth should focus their attention on Ranji matches. In four days of Ranji matches, cricketers have to face different pitches. It will definitely help to join the national team.
Under-19 cricket changed a lot in 20 years
Kaif, who made India the Under-19 World Champion under his captaincy in 2000, said that a lot has changed since then. He said, 'During my captaincy we did not get good facilities. Coaches like veteran batsman Rahul Dravid were not available, they did not get opportunities to play matches on foreign pitches. He further said, '.. But I am thankful to the current management of BCCI that they are supporting the youth in every way. It is a great thing to have a coach like Dravid who is one of the great batsmen.
