Aiden Markram’s 54-run knock with George Linde’s all-round game saw South Africa beat Pakistan by six wickets in the second T20 International to tie the four-match series 1–1. Linde also took three wickets before playing an unbeaten innings of 20 runs. Lizard Williams also took three wickets for South Africa.

While batting first, Pakistan could score 140 runs for nine wickets in 20 overs even after captain Babar Azam’s innings of 50 runs. South Africa achieved the target by losing four wickets in just 14 overs.
Man of the match Linde gave Pakistan the first three blows after deciding to bat after winning the toss. He sent a pavilion to Mohammad Rizwan, who was running in a brilliant rhythm on the very first ball of the match, without opening the account. Linde followed by Sharjeel Khan (eight) as well.

Skipper Babar Azam and veteran Mohammad Hafeez (32) took over the innings after the initial setback. Linde broke his 58-run partnership for the third wicket after dismissing Hafeez in the 11th over.
Babar then completed his half-century but continued to fall wickets from the other end. Williams, meanwhile, sent Faheem Ashraf (five), Hasan Ali (12) and Mohammad Nawaz (two) cheaply to the pavilion.
Chasing the target, South African opener Markram scored 54 runs in a 30-ball innings studded with seven fours and three sixes. He got off to a strong start with a 44-run partnership in 4.3 overs with Janaman Malan (15) for the first wicket.
Captain Heinrich Klassen (36 not out) and Linde shared an unbroken 49-run partnership for the fifth wicket to give the team the victory with 36 balls to spare. Klassen hit four fours and a six in a 21-ball innings while Linde hit two sixes in a 10-ball innings. The third match of the series will be played on 14 April.
