Indian Test team batsman Hanuma Vihari made a brilliant diving catch at mid-wicket while making his county debut for Warwickshire. This catch has now gone viral.
Vihari was not selected in the IPL mini auction this year. He then contracted English County Warwickshire.
On Thursday, on the first day of the match against Nottingmusher, Vihari caught a slight catch from the ground. He caught and sent right-handed batsman Steven Mullaney back.
Mullaney flicked the ball and did not even run for a run. He felt the ball would go to the boundary line. When the ball went to mid-wicket, Vihari followed it and leaped into the air and caught the ball.
Vihari will play at least three county matches for English County Warwickshire and after that he will join the Indian team for the World Test Championship final. This final will be played against New Zealand in Southampton in June. The Indian team also has to play a five-Test series against England in August-September. Vihari came to the auction held in February with a base price of Rs 1 crore. But none of the franchisees showed interest in buying them.
