The century by captain Sean Williams (107) helped Zimbabwe to 352 for six on Monday, the first day of the second and final Test of the series against Sri Lanka. At the time of stumps, wicketkeeper Regis Chakabwa 31 and Tinotenda Mutombodji were present at the crease scoring 10 runs. Williams scored his second century of the Test career with the help of 137 balls with 10 fours and three sixes.
Brendan Taylor (62) and Alexander Raza (72) also contributed well to the team. Taylor hit 10 fours and a six in a 62-ball innings while Raza hit four fours and two sixes in a 99-ball innings.
Williams and Raza shared a 159-run partnership for the fifth wicket. Suranga Lakmal and Dhananjay De Silva took 2–2 wickets for Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka are 1-0 in the series after winning the first Test by 10 wickets.
